Your Stomach Doesn’t Need To Be Flat

Hi there. Welcome back to Liveliness.

I am a runner. I run three times a week. I run because I like to stay in shape and it’s good for my mental health.

I also work a physically demanding job. I work four days a week.

On top of that I try my best to eat healthily and not overeat. I eat my fruits and vegetables and get healthy carbs and fats. I get some protein too.

In spite of all those efforts my stomach is not flat. Sure, in the mornings before I eat food it is flat, but one meal in my stomach and the bloating begins.

Sometimes I hate how I look from the side with tight clothes on because my stomach sticks out a little bit.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not overweight. I am actually pretty skinny, I just have a stomach that gets bloated easily.

On YouTube and Instagram I see all these beauty and fitness influencers with flat stomachs and I start to compare myself to them and sometimes feel bad about myself that I am not like them.

It’s ok to fall into the comparison trap once in awhile because everybody does. But once you notice you’re there, try not to stay there.

It’s also ok to not have a flat stomach. Everybody’s body is made differently and mine just happens not to have a flat stomach.

As long as I’m trying my best to stay healthy I think it’s ok. And for anybody else out there who may be struggling with the same thing, I hope that you can at least love yourself 1% more today!

That’s my little message for the day, have a good one! ❤
